Job Title: Accountant

Department: Finance

Reports to: Finance Manager

Job Summary:

The Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial records and reports for a manufacturing company. This role will involve managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, overseeing production processes , and maintaining accurate inventory records .

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable:
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all vendor transactions.
• Accounts Receivable:
• Prepare and send customer invoices.
• Follow up on overdue payments and resolve billing disputes.
• Maintain accurate records of all customer transactions.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement).
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• General Accounting:
• Assist with the closing of the books at the end of each month.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Prepare and file necessary tax returns.
• Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and depreciation.
• Data Entry:
• Enter financial data into accounting software.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Production Oversight:
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with standards.
• Assist in cost analysis and process improvement.
• Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the accounting system.
• Coordinate physical inventory counts and reconcile results.
• Analyze inventory levels and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE, ODOO , QuickBooks, SAP).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with inventory management and cost accounting.
• Knowledge of manufacturing industry accounting standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 per month
