Our cinema is one of the leading entertainment destinations in the United Arab Emirates, offering state-of-the-art facilities and exceptional movie-going experiences. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team and support our operations with comprehensive financial management and reporting.

Position Summary: The accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with local financial regulations. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Keeping:

o Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the cinema.

o Record all financial transactions in the accounting system.

2. Financial Reporting:

o Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

o Generate financial reports for management review and decision-making.

3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

o Manage accounts payable, ensuring accurate payment of invoices.

o Handle accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting:

o Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.

o Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.

5. Audit and Compliance:

o Conduct regular internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures.

o Prepare for and support external audits.

6. Tax Compliance:

o Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations in the UAE.

o Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT returns.

7. Cash Management:

o Monitor cash flow, POS, Online sales, and manage banking relationships.

o Perform daily cash reconciliations, conduct cash checks, conduct reconciliations and manage liquidity.

8. Expense Management:

o Review and approve expense reports and reimbursements.

o Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-control measures.

9. Financial Analysis:

o Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.

o Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the entertainment or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of UAE tax regulations and compliance requirements.

Work Environment:

• This position is based in a cinema environment, which may require occasional evening and weekend work.

The role may involve liaising with multiple stakeholders, including internal departments and external partners.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED5,500.00 per month
