We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the contracting, MEP, and construction industries, with 3-5 years of relevant experience. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but candidates with significant practical experience in accounting within the construction sector will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, ensuring alignment with project and company financial goals.

- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

- Payroll: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.

- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, preparing and submitting tax returns as required.

- Auditing: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and complete.

- Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and financial records.

- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.

Qualifications:

- Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience in the contracting, MEP, and construction industries within the UAE.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with substantial relevant experience will also be considered.

- Skills:

- Proficiency in accounting software and tools

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards, financial regulations, and best practices related to accounting in the construction sector.
