Overview: As an Account Director specializing in Gaming & Esports, you will be an integral part of the CSM Middle East team, managing some of our most high-profile accounts within the gaming and esports sectors. You will oversee various projects, fostering strong client relationships, and strategically driving sponsorship and activation initiatives. Your role will be pivotal in translating client objectives into impactful gaming and esports engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Account Management:
Lead and manage day-to-day client relationships within the gaming and esports client base.
Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in clients\' in-house teams.
Drive client strategy updates and project/activation planning specific to gaming and esports.
Effectively lead regular project and status meetings with clients and internal teams.
Oversee the development and management of project timelines, budgets, and task tracking.
Lead internal processes including time tracking, budgets, and team meetings.
Manage ideation sessions and creative development tailored to gaming and esports.
Support relationships with internal stakeholders, rights holders, and suppliers in the gaming and esports industries.
Oversee the implementation of account touchpoints including event delivery, digital and social strategies, PR, communications, and guest management in the context of gaming and esports.
Participate in client in-house meetings as required, providing subject matter expertise in gaming and esports.
Collaborate across the wider CSM business to ensure optimal client servicing.
Strategy & Consultancy:
Play a crucial role in the development and delivery of contracted strategy work for gaming and esports client accounts.
Provide strategic consultancy across other CSM Middle East client accounts with a focus on gaming and esports.
Support new business projects, offering strategic and consulting insights in the early stages of new client work within the gaming and esports opportunities.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in client account management within the gaming and esports industries.
Strong understanding of the gaming and esports ecosystem, including sponsorship and activation strategies.
Exceptional client management skills with a track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Experience in leading projects and teams within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong strategic thinking and consultancy skills.
Passion for gaming, esports, and the broader entertainment sector.
Willingness to travel between UAE, KSA, and other countries in the region as required.
Team Dynamics:
Report to an Associate Director with a dotted line to a Regional Managing Director.
Manage direct reports within the Account Team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
University graduate
Fluency in English, written and spoken. Arabic beneficial
A clear passion for the business of sport, marketing and strategy
10+ years experience in (Esports/Gaming) Marketing / Partnerships
Specific experience in strategy and consultancy in the sport landscape essential
Experience of line management preferred
Client-facing experience within the Middle East region. KSA beneficial
Good presentation skills and ability to lead group discussions
Outstanding written and oral communications skills, attention to detail
Analytical and problem-solving mentality. Appetite for business understanding and strategic planning
Ability to multi-task and work across a number of different workstreams
Proven ability to prioritise, manage a team efficiently, and ability to work under pressure
Solution-focused and hands-on approach to managing workstreams
