Job Description

The Access Control Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of access control systems. This role involves ensuring that security measures are effectively implemented to control access to buildings, rooms, and other secure areas. The technician will work with various electronic and mechanical components to ensure optimal system performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Setup:
• Install and configure access control systems, including electronic locks, card readers, keypads, biometric scanners, and control panels.
• Run wiring and cabling for system components.
• Program and test access control software and hardware to ensure proper functionality.
• Maintenance and Repair:
• Perform regular maintenance checks on access control systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
• Troubleshoot and repair any issues with hardware or software components.
• Replace or upgrade outdated or faulty equipment as needed.
• System Integration:
• Integrate access control systems with other security systems such as CCTV, alarm systems, and building management systems.
• Ensure seamless communication between different security components.
• Technical Support:
• Provide technical support and training to users on how to operate access control systems.
• Respond to service calls and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
• Prepare reports on system performance and any incidents related to access control.
• Compliance and Security:
• Ensure all access control systems comply with relevant security standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular audits to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electronics, security systems, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in installing and maintaining access control systems.
• Strong knowledge of electronic and mechanical components used in access control systems.
• Proficiency with access control software and programming.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions.

Driving license :

• A UAE driving license is must

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
