Job Description

An HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Their duties typically include:

• Installation : Setting up HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, including ductwork, piping, wiring, and control systems.
• Maintenance : Performing regular inspections, cleaning, and servicing of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and safety. This may involve replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, and checking electrical connections.
• Repair : Diagnosing and troubleshooting problems with HVAC systems, such as malfunctioning components, leaks, or airflow issues. Repair work may involve replacing faulty parts, adjusting settings, or repairing refrigerant leaks.
• System Testing : Conducting tests to verify that HVAC systems are operating correctly, including checking temperature and pressure levels, airflow rates, and thermostat functionality.
• Customer Service : Interacting with clients to understand their HVAC needs, provide recommendations for system upgrades or repairs, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
• Compliance : Ensuring that HVAC installations and repairs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Documentation : Maintaining accurate records of all work performed, including service reports, equipment manuals, and inventory records.
• Continuing Education : Staying updated on advancements in HVAC technology, techniques, and regulations through training programs, workshops, and industry publications.
