Installation: Air conditioning technicians install new air conditioning systems, including air conditioning units, water-cooling systems, and refrigerators. They ensure that these systems are set up correctly and functioning efficiently within client facilities. Maintenance and Repairs: Their job involves maintaining and repairing existing equipment. They inspect systems to identify potential problems, replace worn-out or defective parts, and troubleshoot issues. General Repairs: Air conditioning technicians diagnose and troubleshoot special service problems, following building codes, blueprints, instructions, and manuals. They use power tools, hand tools, and precision-measuring instruments to carry out general repairs and maintenance on machinery and equipment. Estimation and Planning: Part of their role includes estimating material and labor costs, determining installation plans, and requirements for fabricating, start-up, testing, and servicing HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) equipment.
