We are seeking a reliable and motivated AC Maintenance Helper to join our team. In this entry-level position, you will assist experienced HVAC technicians in the maintenance and servicing of air conditioning systems for both residential and commercial clients. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are looking to start their career in the HVAC field and gain hands-on experience in AC maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist HVAC technicians in routine maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of air conditioning systems.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, coils, and condensers.
• Help inspect and replace air filters, check refrigerant levels, and perform other minor repairs under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Assist with the installation and replacement of air conditioning components, such as thermostats and wiring.
• Help ensure systems are operating at peak efficiency, identifying any issues or potential improvements.
• Load, unload, and organize equipment and materials for each job.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all job sites.
• Provide support with tools, materials, and other supplies needed for each service.
• Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with air conditioning units.
• Complete paperwork, service logs, and job reports as directed by senior technicians.
• Communicate effectively with technicians, customers, and supervisors.
• Follow safety protocols, and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems is a plus.
• Ability to work in various environments (indoors and outdoors) and weather conditions.
• Strong physical condition
• Willingness to learn about AC systems and HVAC maintenance procedures.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, when needed.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in HVAC, construction, or maintenance work is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of air conditioning systems, electrical wiring, and refrigerant systems.
• Comfortable working with hand tools and power tools.
