- Responsible to operate DP system as per operation requirement


- Responsible for the continual on -duty - scheme in the DP control room.


- Ensure that all DP system data are recorded.


- Assist in the set up of the DP system operating parameters.


- Assist in performing maintenance on DP equipments


- Assist in Carrying out frequent inspection on DP system sensors, computers and references.


- Should be familiar and implement IMCA requirements related to DP system.






Skills Required


- High School Diploma or equivalent nautical science degree / diploma


- A Min. qualification required is Chief Mate FG COC II/2 with No limitations.


- Full and unlimited DP certificates from Nautical institute


- Holding IMCA DP log book in which DP experience are recorded.


- Minimum of 1 years' experience as a DPO/2nd officer on DP vessels same capacity.


- Good English Communication skills.


- Good Knowledge of safe practices related to DP operation


- Capable of correcting nautical charts and keeping update of publication


- Knowledge of preparing passage plan for the intended voyage.


- Knowledge of bridge equipment and DP system.


- Responsible to the SDPO for reporting any malfunction of the DP system
