Orient UNB Takaful PJSC (OUTFL), a Public Joint Stock Company is a part of Al Futtaim Group /Orient Insurance PJSC. Started in the year 2016 by Orient Insurance PJSC and Union National Bank, we became a subsidiary of Orient Insurance Company with effective from 16/03/2021, following Orient’s acquisition of the shares owned initially by Union National Bank and its subsidiary. The company offers Sharia’h-compliant Islamic Insurance (Takaful) services. We operate under commercial License No.774683 as required under Federal Law No.6 of 2007, Certificate No.92 from Insurance Authority (IA) of UAE commencing 16/07/2017. We are listed in the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) with a paid up capital of UAE Dirhams 200 Million. During the General Assembly meeting held on 18/08/2021, the Company’s shareholders approved the change of the company’s name from Orient UNB Takaful PJSC to Orient Takaful PJSC. The company is currently in the process of completing the regulatory requirements to implement this decision by the shareholders.
